Story 11: Waking Up for Fajr Prayer

Ahmad was a seventh-grade student. He was a good student, but he had one problem. He often found it difficult to wake up early for Fajr prayer.

Every night, his father reminded him.

"Ahmad, don't sleep too late. You need to wake up for Fajr," his father said.

"Yes, Dad. I'll try," Ahmad replied.

However, Ahmad usually stayed awake playing games or watching videos.

As a result, he often felt sleepy in the morning.

One evening, Ahmad attended a short religious talk at the mosque.

The imam spoke about the importance of Fajr prayer.

"The early morning is a blessed time," the imam said. "People who wake up for Fajr begin their day with worship and gratitude."

Ahmad listened carefully.

When he returned home, he thought about the imam's words.

That night, he decided to make a change.

He turned off his phone earlier than usual and went to bed before ten o'clock.

Before sleeping, he set an alarm clock and made a sincere intention to wake up for prayer.

The next morning, the alarm rang at 4:30 a.m.

At first, Ahmad wanted to stay in bed.

He felt comfortable under his blanket.

Then he remembered the imam's advice.

Slowly, he sat up and rubbed his eyes.

A few minutes later, he performed ablution and went to the mosque with his father.

The streets were quiet, and the air was cool.

Inside the mosque, Ahmad saw many people praying peacefully.

After the prayer, the imam recited a short reminder about gratitude and good character.

Ahmad felt calm and happy.

That day, he noticed something different.

He felt more energetic at school and paid better attention in class.

His teacher even praised him for answering several questions correctly.

When he returned home, Ahmad smiled.

"I think waking up for Fajr is not as difficult as I thought," he told his father.

His father smiled back.

"Good habits become easier when we practice them every day," he said.

From that day forward, Ahmad tried his best to sleep early and wake up for Fajr prayer.

Although it was not always easy, he continued improving little by little.
