Whether we observe World Environment Day on the 5th of June or celebrate our commitment through National Environment Day, the message remains the same: we are the caretakers of this planet, and the time to act is now.
Indonesia, our beloved archipelago, is blessed with lush rainforests, majestic mountains, fertile lands, and vibrant oceans. These natural treasures are among the greatest gifts we have received, yet they are also fragile and in need of our protection.

Our forests continue to shrink at an alarming rate because of illegal logging and land conversion.
Our rivers, once clean and life-giving, are increasingly clogged with plastic waste and pollution.
The air we breathe, which should be fresh and healthy, is becoming polluted by smoke and vehicle emissions.
Climate change is no longer a distant possibility—it is a reality.
We witness more extreme weather, rising sea levels, devastating floods, prolonged droughts, and crop failures that threaten communities around the world.
However, let us not lose hope.
Every environmental challenge also presents an opportunity for positive change.
The Earth does not expect us to be perfect; it asks us to be committed.
Small actions, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform our world.
We can reduce our use of single-use plastics.
We can plant trees in our neighborhoods and schools.
We can save electricity and water in our daily lives.
We can dispose of waste responsibly and practice the 3R Principle:
