COMMON MISTAKES IN ENGLISH
❌ 56. "Open the light" → ✅ "Turn on the light"
Penjelasan: Dalam bahasa Inggris, open/close digunakan untuk benda yang benar-benar terbuka/tertutup secara fisik (pintu, jendela, buku). Untuk perangkat elektronik (lampu, TV, AC), gunakan turn on/off atau switch on/off.

❌ 57. "I lost the bus" → ✅ "I missed the bus"
Penjelasan: Miss artinya "terlambat / tidak naik" kendaraan (bus, kereta, pesawat). Lose (lost) artinya "kehilangan" secara permanen atau tidak tahu di mana benda itu berada. Anda miss bus, tapi lose kunci atau dompet.

Penjelasan: Dalam bahasa Inggris, collocation (pasangan kata) yang tepat adalah commit a crime, bukan make a crime. Kata make digunakan untuk make a mistake, make a decision, make dinner, dll. Untuk kejahatan, hukum, dan pelanggaran, gunakan commit.

❌ 59. "Borrow me your pen" → ✅ "Lend me your pen / Can I borrow your pen?"
Penjelasan: Dua kata ini sering tertukar:
- Borrow = meminjam dari orang lain (arah ke diri sendiri): I borrow something from someone
- Lend = meminjamkan kepada orang lain (arah ke luar): Someone lends something to someone
Jadi "borrow me" tidak masuk akal — Anda tidak bisa "meminjam" orang lain. Yang benar: Lend me your pen atau Can I borrow your pen?
